Stars: 7 / 10

A retelling of Beauty and the Beast, reasonably close to the original French story.

One of the most gorgeous and visually stunning films I have ever seen! The incredible graphics, sets, and costumes made it worthwhile to see a second time in the theatre.

Although the story is hardly original, the acting is top-notch, and the overall ambiance of the film is a feast for the eyes!

This is not a children's film. Although it's rated "general public" in France, this movie would not be appropriate for children under 10, in my opinion. There is one scene, in particular (a hunting party chasing after a fawn) that is emotionally quite stressful, and some other elements may be too scary for small children.
