Stars: 8  / 10

An unexpected gem! This film takes on the serious topics of bullies, masculinity, conventional gender roles, homophobia, and marital politics.

Excellent acting (all three main cast members reprised their roles from the original Broadway production,) masterfully directed, and beautifully photographed.

A must see for anyone who enjoys edgy realist dramas from the 1950's.

Director: Vincente Minnelli
Year:  1956
Main Cast: Deborah Kerr, John Kerr, Leif Erickson
( And no, Deborah and John Kerr are NOT related. *exhales*)
